There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. F3 garmin center gps mount

Hey gang,

I keep seeing gps mounts for the f3 on the handlebars up high near the throttle. Needless to say, not a big fan of a black box seemingly hanging in the air, ruining the f3's lines. Does anyone know of a center mount to put the gps in between the bars like on the RT and ST?

I agree it would look a lot better, but in my face, I can actually read the map!

I modified a stock RT/ST mount: the hole spacing is narrower on the F3 and flipped the pivot mechanism around to be able to view the gauges. That's more than most people can do. RAM mount makes a single stud ball which replaces one of the handlebar clamp bolts, and then one of their clamps/platforms for your GPS. ISCI has one set up at SpyderFest but you can also buy the components on-line. RAM mounts are sturdy. You will probably have to experiment to keep full view of the gauge cluster. I have mine center mounted and running through a J&M CB radio for voice response and using the MP3 player. Wayne

Contact Rick at Value Accessories. They now have a very reasonable and clean ram ball mount for the center of the F3 handlebar. Got one installed today for my Garmin.

Pictures please!

Will do but will have to wait until I get home from Spyderfest. Its a standard Ram Ball with a tab and hole, longer bolt and custom spacer to place it on one of the handlebar bolt locations. Ball ends up centered over bar clamp.
