• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F1 Slide Windshield

How does this shield compare to the CHAD? I am considering changing out my CAL-SCI XL and want the best protection for myself and passenger; I also want it to look good. nojoke BTW, I have the 2" mirror extensions installed.:f_spider:

I never owned or ridden with a CHAD so I can't say for sure. I will say that right now, I like the ride with the Madstad RoboBracket setup better than with the F1. When I was first getting F1 windshields (Evo II, Evo III slider), I was looking for total protection and a large quiet pocket of air. After riding the Spyder for about a year and a half, I've come to like a fair amount of airflow while getting protection from the heavy wind. That's what the Madstad setup gives me. I would guess the CHAD setup could operate the same.

However, I really liked the idea of the quick and easy adjustment that the F1 design allows. Neither the RoboBracket nor the CHAD can come close to the quick adjustability of the F1 design (at least not yet :D).

I put mine on in the spring. I also had a problem with the contour matching on the bottom. The drivers side bottom screw doesn't sit flush and when I tried to make it form to the contour I got a hairline crack. Oh and I never got any mounting screws so I used BRP's. After a couple months riding I lost on of the bottom nuts and bolt(below the knob) , and soon after I lost the other one and had a sloppy windshield. I pulled it apart and found one of the screws and it was too short that the nylock part wasn't holding the screw. No whonder it fell apart. That and the part that goes between the mirrors arent the same contour left to right. I tried emailing Marcel on his site but no reply so I gave up.
