There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. EZ Pass Mount

Ive been having probs with detection of my E-Pass here in Florida on my 14... I had velcro the pass in the frunk on my 12 and it worked fine. My 14 I velcro it in the same spot and its not being detected. Anyone else have that problem?

Yep, mine worked intermittently when velcrod to the inside of my trunk lid on my 12'.
I moved it behind the windshield and have had no issues. I've even tried different transponders from my cars thinking it was the transponder but had the same issues with all 4. Oh well.

I have since blacked out my windshield so you don't even see the ezpass behind it.

Depending upon the route you take to Springfield from Virginia, you probably will have NO tolls. When we rode out last year, the only tolls were on the West Virginia Turnpike (two toll plazas, $2.00 each, 2.50 if you pull a trailer)

I mounted my wife's under the frunk in the same way... works well.

I share one of my EZ Pass transponders between two motorcycles. Just register both state tags under the transponder. I think we have different toll rates for car vs motorcycle, so would not share between vehicle classes.

Here in Washington State, the Good to Go passes can be little stickers with an RFID chip that you place on the windshield. They want the motorcycle one inside the lens of the headlamp, which wasn't doable for my RT, so mine is on the lower edge of the windscreen.

In MA, each ez pass is assigned to a vehicle registration, I have separate ones on each vehicle.

Never have stuck one on the windscreen, in our cars and trucks there just in the glove box. On the spyder is in the frunk but behind the lining. Never had an issue with it not reading. They don't issue them for small trailers like the RT622, but the registration is registered on their system and they just bill it per axel. My understanding is that the trailer is not an issue around New England tolls, but is an issue in New York.

Do they really work from the glovebox?

I ask because I'm hearing about them getting stolen here all the time...of course because they are on the windshield. :banghead:

Wife hates ours being on the windshield.

I'd hate to find out the hard way that it doesn't work from a glovebox here?

Yes they work fine from the glove box, I don't have any stuck to a windscreen. I don't sit and wait of course but I usually catch the green light as I drive through. Of course it does not really matter if they don't read as long as your plate is registered. They just run your plate and if registered bill it too your account as if they had read your tag.

I've always wanted to put it in the plastic bag they come in so it doesn't read going in but reads going off or vice versa, just to mess with their heads. But of course my devilish plan doesn't work because they just read the plate.

Of course the downside is that law and order can track you. I've seen many an episode where someone's been found some where their not supposed to be.

We don't have lights to stop you. You just go, if you have a tag no problem. If you don't I guess they send you a bill.

I guess I could try it and see what it does.

Would be nice to know if they just read the tag instead....but I'm thinking in Virginia they would just stick it to ya. lol

EZ Pass works on all toll roads in the US except for CO,FL,and OK. I have one pass registered to my semi, bike and pick up. If it doesn't work when you pass through the plaza the system searches to see if your plate is registered to a transponder and charges it instead of sending a ticket.

In California we have Fastpass. We can legally mount it on the tank, windshield, or put it in your pocket. I use just one for all my vehicles...and I just stick it in the inside pocket of my jacket. When the jacket is in the saddle bag, the Fastpass is still in the pocket. Legal, right?

In NJ if you have your plate registered with your account and roll through ezpass with no transponder they just bill your account. Every once in awhile it misses my transponder and I see the charge.

I know a handful of guys that run with their plates attached to the splash pan since they have no rear fender. No plate read, no toll.....
