Ive been having probs with detection of my E-Pass here in Florida on my 14... I had velcro the pass in the frunk on my 12 and it worked fine. My 14 I velcro it in the same spot and its not being detected. Anyone else have that problem?
I am glad I live out West. I've never seen such a thing!
In MA, each ez pass is assigned to a vehicle registration, I have separate ones on each vehicle.
Never have stuck one on the windscreen, in our cars and trucks there just in the glove box. On the spyder is in the frunk but behind the lining. Never had an issue with it not reading. They don't issue them for small trailers like the RT622, but the registration is registered on their system and they just bill it per axel. My understanding is that the trailer is not an issue around New England tolls, but is an issue in New York.

Do they really work from the glovebox?
I ask because I'm hearing about them getting stolen here all the time...of course because they are on the windshield. :banghead:
Wife hates ours being on the windshield.
I'd hate to find out the hard way that it doesn't work from a glovebox here?
.
Yes they work fine from the glove box, I don't have any stuck to a windscreen. I don't sit and wait of course but I usually catch the green light as I drive through. Of course it does not really matter if they don't read as long as your plate is registered. They just run your plate and if registered bill it too your account as if they had read your tag.
I've always wanted to put it in the plastic bag they come in so it doesn't read going in but reads going off or vice versa, just to mess with their heads. But of course my devilish plan doesn't work because they just read the plate.
Of course the downside is that law and order can track you. I've seen many an episode where someone's been found some where their not supposed to be.
"Darn I'ad a gotten away with it if it wasn't for those pesky ez tags"

We don't have lights to stop you. You just go, if you have a tag no problem. If you don't I guess they send you a bill.
I guess I could try it and see what it does.
Would be nice to know if they just read the tag instead....but I'm thinking in Virginia they would just stick it to ya. lol
In NJ if you have your plate registered with your account and roll through ezpass with no transponder they just bill your account. Every once in awhile it misses my transponder and I see the charge.
I know a handful of guys that run with their plates attached to the splash pan since they have no rear fender. No plate read, no toll.....
