• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Extra Fuse Box

Do you have one? If yes, where did you install it? Cost? I'm thinking under the seat on my 2014 RT. Easier to hook up electrics for gloves, vests, maybe a heated seat. :chat: Tom :trike:

I installed mine next to the horn on a 2014 RTL
I hooked up the heated clothing controller, USB cell phone charger, and air horn threw it with micro relays
Everything is separate from the BRP BUSS system
This spot is easy to run wires any where you want on the bike and is easy to check fuses etc.

I have a 2010 RT-S SE5 Model

I fitted the extra fuse box at the front under the LHS Service cover - There appeared to be a bracket there and was the right amount of space to fit it in see

If the space is still the same on the 2014 RT it makes it easier to access the battey as it is in the front trunk

I did fit the FZ-1 Fuzeblock but if I was to do it again on a new 2014 I would fit a PDM60 Power Distibution Module This does not use fuses and can be programmed to your requirements for additinal accessories

I use an Eastern Beaver 3CS. It is installed under the bodywork on my 2011 near the positive jumper post. That is near the battery on mine...you would likely move it up front on the 2013 and newer models. On Nancy's GS I actually have a fuse block mounted forward, under the access panels in the trunk. That took some more extensive wiring, however. That panel is from an automotive store, but I don't recommend that approach. Use a motorcycle auxiliary fuse block...Eastern Beaver, CenTech, TricLED, and several others. You can get them switched, unswitched, or mixed. I recommend the diode option to protect the CANbus if it is available.

It isn't. That was a great place to put one until 2013 when BRP moved the battery up front. That space is now occupied by some heavy wires, inline fuses, and the booster posts. Not much room left now.

Could you flush out your discussion of the diode? I see one mentioned at the Eastern Beaver site in connection with the PC-8 fuseblock, but can't find where to order it separate from one of Jim's already-made-up harnesses. Would I presume correctly it is installed in the switched lead, with direction of current limited to coming into the fuseblock?
