• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Extended Warranty Purchasing Advice Needed

My 2 cents.... I bought an extended 4 year warranty from the dealer for about $350 Normally I don't do this, but I'm getting older and the back and knees don't like me working on vehicles so much any more. ;)

I also bought it as I am not 100% sold on Can-am quality, specifically in the areas of electrical circuits, harness's and wiring. Mechanically I "believe" the Rotax engine is solid, but have no experience with them.

I'm appalled at the amount of RUST I see in all the video's I see. Maybe it's not common, but there is more rust/ corrosion/ dirt on some Spyder's than on my 20 year old Toyota... Although warranty will likely not cover this sort of "damage".

For these reasons, I bought a warranty.

Who was your 4 year/$350 warranty thru? Certainly not BRP..

Absolutely correct - NOT BRP. I will need to look up the name and confirm the price on my purchase order. I am not a fan of extended warranties, but as I mentioned in my previous post (I'm getting old - lol) I researched this company and rather than ask what's covered, I asked what wasn't covered. Given the circumstance I felt comfortable enough to drop the cash on the warranty. It's basically a bumper-to-bumper extended warranty for 4 years, but the first two run concurrently with the OEM.

So really, it's a two-year warranty with a few things above and beyond the factory one. Peace of mind for 4 years.

I thought the BRP warranty was too pricey for what it cost.
