Extended mirrors but...

Hi Y'all, OK, so I made my second (personal) mod to "Red Dragon" tonight. I installed "Street Magic" mirror extensions. They have more play than I would have wanted (the cutout notches are bigger than factory's), but they'll work. But, now I can't get my BRP touring windshield to fit. What did you all do to remedy this? There is an acrylics/plastics fab company about 5 miles from me. If I get nothing better, I'm going to see if they will/can bend the bottom piece back on both sides so that it is in front of the mirror arms and extensions.

Reshaped my windshield

So I went by the Acrylic Fabrication and Supply shop. They were closed. I then went to HF and bought a heat gun. Sandwiched the bottom of the shield between two pieces of wood and heated until I could bend it to the angle of the mirrors and extensions. Turned out great:2thumbs:. I haven't bent plastic in almost 30 years so I over heated the bend, but I'm pretty sure that the area I bent was not stress baring. Went for my first ryde outside of the development:yes:. No crazy wind whistling sound or anything from the shield. I'll post pics tomorrow. Now... on to the whining noise coming from the rear:dontknow:. Dealer says Feb soonest on DPS replacement:cus:, so I'll attempt the belt adjustment on my own (with a little help from my SpyderFriends).

Try some black rubber plumbing washers to eliminate the play in the mirrors. Good luck.
