Unfortunately, the 2013's were designed bad. That being said, if your seat is uncomfortable you would probably buy another seat, or if the handle bars are too short you would buy another set of bars. If wrapping your pipes will make the bike more comfortable for you why not do it. Would you expect BRP to change the seat or the bars for you? As was said before, BRP is not going to be able to fix this, you will have to. nojoke

A different seat or handle bars ARE NOT A SAFETY ISSUE AND CAUSE MY SPYDER TO CATCH ON FIRE!! BRP should correct the heat issue. Your talking about after market parts and comparing it to a design flaw.

BRP issued a recall and applied a fix to alleviate the fire risk. There has been NO EVIDENCE, nada, none, zip that the fix is in any way ineffective or that there still exists a fire danger after the recall is properly applied. Uncomfortable does not equal a safety or fire risk. While none of us are happy with the situation, PLEASE, lets not make the situation worse by leading folks to believe the problem is worse than it really is.

Do any of you really think BRP or the NHTSA will allow the bikes to go unrepaired if the safety concern has not been addressed? Get real.
