• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Exhaust smell

Update

OK so for 2 weeks I switch gas companies. I was using USA Gasoline and went back to using Arco, which I was using before until my Arco near me closed (about the same time as the smell showed up). I also used nothing but 91. I have to say the stink I was having dropped considerably. More probably to do with the brand than the octane. So switching as a test helped my own stinky exhaust smell ;) but when on the freeway in stop and go, I still get it from time to time and it is coming from cars! They stink too which again I did not smell this issue until about September!

So I know this sounds nuts and all but I guess I am sensitive to this smell for some reason. In fact a few times when it was bad, I got a headache. Bottom line I am going to have to go with what Jerbear suggested. Winter blend gasoline! Seems some brands have a different blend than others as they do not stink as bad ;)
I am going to drop octane but use Arco over the next 2 weeks and see if it is brand or octane.

We had an old tractor as a kid that had a bad gas tank. My dad retrofitted an aluminum chemical can he got from a friend that worked at a company that made the odors for scratch and sniff stickers. Every time we used the tractor after that the exhaust had a strawberry smell....no joke. It was strong smelling stuff even in the empty container...haha

gas smell

Oleander, the freeway bush.

Some might ask why it's so popular in California?

Answer.

Because it loves the smell of freshly burned petro.

A botanist once concluded he was certain it survived on fumes and tire rubber.

the smel is normal,,,it is coming from the evaporate caniter hose,,mine sometime smell gas or other time like oil paint,,,they all do that smell after a while,,,
