• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Exhaust: Should I buy HMF or Yoshimura R77 For 2008 GS

Crisis

New member
Hi,
I have narrowed it down to these 2 exhausts based on what I have read and the numerous sound bytes :banghead: I have listened to on Youtube.
I really do not want to get into installing a juice box etc. etc.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

No help...

Tough one...:dontknow:...they are both good pipes and I can only give my opinion on one. After stock I had a Hindle and was happy with it but the rivits kept letting go. After several attempts to repair it finally gave up and hunted a new pipe. Yoshi has always been a great pipe and HMF came along with a good one as well. Niether the Hindle nor the R77, I currently hav, needed a fuel controler. It does pop on decomp especially on the manual but all my pipes have. The computer handles the change well. I have not run across the HMF so can't comment. Do like the optional removable baffle that comes with the Yoshimura...

My Buell CR had the Rotax engine, it had the HMF...great sounding exhaust! Never saw any wear or tear accumulate after all the track time, but rain always seems to change and get to them eventually. So rain wise, not sure of the beauty duration that people want.

Two good choices

You can't go wrong with either one. I've heard the HMF in person, I like it. I have a yoshi on my bike, not a spyder specific yoshi, but I like it too. I'm guessing the HMF is less money? Tough call for sure.

That's a great deal on that pipe, good for you.
Motorcycle Dave- post that pipe on the for sale board with some pics, thanks.

I have the HMF on both my 2009 and my wife's 2008. Love it. I have the controller on mine but she doesn't. No problems either way.
