exhaust gasket question issue ???

think it is about time to change gaskets, have been noticing a different exhaut tone recently ( 13 thousand km ), curious if some have used brp replacements and their findings on these or using the honda gaskets, which I am unable to find the numbers for. Also do we replace all three or just the 2. PLEASE ADVISE. THANKS>

You replace only the two gaskets, Honda # 18392-mam-000

Yes, boborgera is right on with the Honda Number. I've never used for the Honda gaskets, but many of us have and had great results! I may in the future, as I find I have to replace the BRP gaskets (stock gaskets - usually do all at the same time) between 10,000km-15,000km.

Hearing a different exhaust tone is one indication. Another is more heat in the area of the gasket on each side, but usually the right side gasket goes first.

I forgot that PROCALIBER.COM also sells Honda OEM parts and if that # is correct there price is $5.50 ea.. I don't know what local retail is ? They ship for free if order is over $89.00 and no tax. Check the site out. :thumbup: Mike

The Honda's cost me last year 14.10 with tax for two of them, But i got the Honda's for durability not price, and most important they were in stock, The brps would have to be ordered and who knows when they would come in [weeks??]

this is the gasket that goes at the muffler connection right ?
or are they the y pipe gaskets?

if they are the y pipe what is the part number for the muffler end i got a replacement muffler given to me and the old gasket is not removable intact from my old one :gaah:

These Honda Gaskets have nothing to do with the Stock muffler gasket. That is a whole different gasket and Yes it is removable from the old exhaust.

I think the muffler seal you will have to get through BRP. Part number 707600350, but double check your model year Spyder. :thumbup:

Dealer part, But unlike the Y gaskets the'll last a very long time, :thumbup:

I don't think any one who used them had them fail, I had about 13 thousand miles on them before i sold my Spyder and as far as i know there still good. :thumbup:

Put the Honda gaskets on around 7k, have 24k now and no issues.

I must have missed something!!!!!

My Y-Pipe gaskets needed changing so I resorted to getting information from our trusty SL.Com wealth of knowledge. With the recommended Honda part # in hand, I ordered online, the Honda Gold Wing Y-Pipe gaskets, p/n 18392-MAM-000. When ready to install new gaskets I found them to be way too small. You can see from my attached picture the new Honda gasket sitting inside the worn BRP OEM gasket. Huh??? Did I miss something here guys. Seemed straight forward to me. I read many threads and posts indicating the above part number and it just plain didn't fit... Hmmmm, I wonder what I missed??? So, with a small restocking fee, I'm shipping them back to my online source. Dang it!!.... Len

That gasket is for the RS, not the RT.
