Just to add to my excitement of a 35 degree trip in to work today...I nearly wrecked my Spyder.
Following a school bus through center of Syracuse...school bus was tailgating a semi truck. Semi truck
blew a tire which caused the usual huge tire strip to peel away. I saw brake lights on the bus so I dropped
back further than I was...then saw the tire coming at me in the center of the lane. No place to go with traffic
so I rode over the top of it. No loss of control...just a big speed bump. Got to the work parking garage and did
a walk around of the trike. Lots of black marking from the tire. Snapped a plastic piece back in place on the
inside of the fender. I think I have a single crack on the lower white plastic strip. Once I clean my shorts I will
go wipe down the black areas to see that the one crack is all I have for permanent damage.
Rode the :f_spider: about 3 or 4 miles after the event to get to work...no pulling to the side...no signs of leakage.
Tested brakes and they are fine. No signs of limp mode, etc. Think I really lucked out and should buy a lottery
ticket. Wife said...it is time to park it for the season. I said, we can talk later about it. Not ready to give it up
for the season. Will see who wins out on that one.
Work 10 hours and then the 1 hour commute home. Not sure what else to check on the ride.
