EVERYONE READ THIS PLEASE!! SHIFTING ISSUE

:cus::cus:I TOOK MY SPYDER TO THE SHOP LAST WEEK CAUSE IT WOULDN'T SHIFT OUT OF GEARS AND GOT STUCK IN FIFTH GEAR. THEN I FINALLY GOT IT OUT . BUT TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT I TOOK IT TO SHOP AND THE SHIFT ROD WAS MESSED UP. THEY TRIED NOT TO PAY FOR IT CAUSE THEY SAID THAT I HAD CAUSED. THEY SAID THE ONLY WAY THAT IT COULD HAPPEN WAS STANDING UP ON SHIFT LEVER. WHAT A JOKE I BABY THIS THING!!! I DO NOT STAND ON MY SHIFT LEVER I HAVE HAD 12 MOTORCYCLES AND I KNOW HOW TO RIDE AND NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM WITH ANY OTHER BIKE SHIFTING. WELL THEY EVENTUALLY PAID FOR IT . BUT THEY AR E PUTTING OUT THE ALERT THEY ARE GOING TO STOP PAYING FOR THEM CAUSE THEY SAID THEY ARE BEING CAUSED BY CUSTOMER. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP. THEY HAVE A DEFECT AND DONT WANT TO COVER IT. SO IF ANYONE HAS THIS PROBLEM EXPECT TO PUT UP A FIGHT TO GET THEM TO PAY. MY BIKE COST 16000 DOLLARS AND THE MANUFACTUER DOES WANT TO WARRANT THEIR PRODUCTS. IF YOU HAVE HAD ANY PROBLEMS GIVE ME A SHOUT...... AND REMEMBER NO EXITING UR SPYDER ON LEFT SIDE!!!! AT LEAST THATS WHAT SHOP HAD TO TELL ME ( I SMELL BULL-SH@#)!!!!!!!!:cus::cus::cus:

Well i'am glad you got it fixed. Is it possible somebody else stood on it when you where not around like a store or restaurant, mall, work. :dontknow:

I've never heard of anyone else having a bent shifter. Any chance you parked it somewhere and someone else stood on it?

BTW--- Typing in ALL CAPS is considered YELLING and is generally bad netiquette.

We had a demo unit that someone stood on the shifter and did the same thing. It's not a defect, it's ignorance. That's why I don't let anyone get on mine until I show them how.
