• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. EU without Greece?

What is it that they say about throwing people out of a cart when you're being chased by wolves?
(JMHO) The whole EU is destined to fail... they're unwilling to all get in step and dance to the same tune... yet they all want the same fianancial stability and economic strength that the Germans have attained through being maybe a bit more responsible fiscally while they've been giving away the farm...:dontknow:

Greece out of the Eurozone?

Greece has not gotten herself into this situation overnight. According to some of the newspapers (European) that I read every day, Greece cooked her books to enter into the Euro, and is paying the price for years of mismanagement by all political parties. I believe the threat of pulling out of Europe is a bluff, but if the Greeks are that desperate...

I'm sure glad I don't hold any Greek debt...

I think it all comes down to how long Germany can/will keep it all afloat

Historically poor (modest) countries like Greece and Italy have simply been living too high on the hog for too long and paying for all with debt

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! The guys at the stock market will here about this and there will be another big sell off. There goes the retirement account again.

Bottom Line: We are living in some very scarry and volital times.

Return to its former currency, the drachma ?

This story has had more turns than one of those soap operas that's designed to soften up the brains of folks who stay home from work...
I guess that the popular vote is going to be presented as "Do you want to take the bailout; and if you don't; then you can't be in the EU...
I guess EU membership is popular among the folks; the question will become is it more popular than the bailout is unpopular?? :dontknow:

Either way; it takes the heat off of the government... They'll point to the populace and say, "We gave you a choice and YOU made the wrong decision!":gaah:

I suspect that all of this conjecture about leaving the EU is simply a ploy to enable Greece to get better terms for the bailout than were initially offered. They're in trouble whether they stay or leave, but probably a lot less trouble if they go along with a bailout.

Stick a fork in 'em; they're done... nojoke The only question is how much damage will they do to the rest of Europe in the process??

Hulk Smash

Greece has turned green and is looking for a pair of purple pants.

Run far, run fast...

EU without Greece

I just read that the Greek PM has decided not to have a referendum. He is now talking to the other political parties, they hope to form some sort of consensus about how to handle the situation.

Personally, I don't see any way Greece can find their way out of the mess years of promising everyone every thing and simply putting it on the countries credit card created.

I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but this country has been moving in the same direction for the past 80 years. Sometimes we've been moving that way faster, and sometimes slower, but always in that direction.

I feel like I am :banghead: when I complain about the direction of the country. I used to think I'd be dead before the collapse of the republic, nowadays, I'm afraid I'll witness it.

Hope tomorrow is nice, I need a mental health ride again :D.
