• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ethanol - interesting new study

 That's some Heavy Thoughts ! Maybe a bit higher than my comprehension, Guess I will keep on :bdh:. & drinking a little of that corn whisky before they put in the crap and call it ethanol !.....Keep your Chin Up.......Bill
Boy, you better hope what you're drinking in that swig of corn whiskey is pure ethanol, otherwise you could be in big trouble!! What goes into gasoline is denatured and quite unsafe to drink.

( OFF Topic) At our local ethanol plant they have sign up that reads "Home of Shakers Vodka", which I believe they used wheat as the main ingredient. Honestly, I'm an old beer lover and have no real wish to partake in the hard stuff. ......Bill

No, what? Any links to some articles about it? Or did I miss that part in the articles linked to above?

Oh man, I can't exactly remember where I saw it but it wasn't here. Maybe it was a couple of nights ago when I was cruising FB at O-dark thirty. (couldn't sleep) The article showed satellite photos of the bloom in the gulf coast waters and screenshots of all the dead fish. It's not all, but mostly from the chemical fertilizers used in the midwest by farms that have watersheds that drain into the Mississippi and into the gulf. Little animals (bugs) live on the pollutants which get eaten by bigger bugs that end up sucking all the oxygen out of the seawater and everything dies. That's the short story.

They all want us to buy electric cars. And then tell us to turn off the air conditioners in the summer because we are using to much hydro.
How are they going to charge their cars?:banghead:

I have read that battery production creates more pollution than gasoline. Our electric grid at present cannot support all electric cars either. It's a catch 22.
