engine problems

The dealer called at 3pm tuesday and said that the engine was back together and they were installing it right then. I called in the morning at 9am (service starts at 7am) to ask how it was going. I was told he was hooking some things up and would start it soon. I called at 1pm and was told the same thing. I called again at 4.30 pm and was told the SAME THING. I asked what was going on and was told things were still being hooked up. I remarked that things were being hooked up for over 8 hours and they still hadn't started it. Seems a little strange to me I said. The guy said that "YOU KNOW WE ARE FIXING THIS UNDER WARRANTY DON"T YOU"
Well I figured out what was going on real quick. I then called the general manager and talked to him. He said that they had their best guy on it and he was working on it all day. He said that the shop was slow and some techs were layed off so there was plenty of help if it was needed. Me thinks he was blowing smoke up my back pipe.
No wonder some dealerships are closing with service like this. I could of hooked the stuff up and started it in less than 8 hours. The manager had the gall to say my mods were delaying the process. My COSMETIC mods. This dealership has can am ,ski doo, yamaha, arctic cat, honda, suzuki and kawasaki. This is no small dealership. If it takes their best tech over 8 hours to hook an engine up they have a BIG problem. Brp states that you can remove and replace an engine in a little over 4 hours. Now knowing how warranty hours are low balled from the manufacturer I can understand it would take longer. But not over double that JUST to hook it back up.
Watch out for these boys. I had trouble with them when the did my 6000 mile service and thought give them another chance. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=10434
Enough is enough. Stay away from ENGELHARDT CENTER, Madison Wisc.
Any more work needed on my spyder will go to another dealer even though its even farther to go.
I'VE HAD IT WITH THEM.:gaah::gaah::gaah:
