There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. ENGINE???

This was in the news in 2007....

New V-Twin Muscle
The Buell 1125R Helicon engine is a new 1125cc DOHC V-Twin, the first liquid-cooled engine to power a street-legal Buell motorcycle. This compact, 72-degree engine is the result of a collaboration between Buell and BRP-Rotax, a leader in the development and manufacture of advanced engines for recreational products. The Helicon engine was designed to Buell specifications and is exclusive to Buell. It will be manufactured in Austria by BRP-Rotax. The most-powerful street-legal engine ever offered by Buell, the Helicon engine is rated at 146 crankshaft horsepower, and is designed to deliver optimized usable power, with a broad powerband across its 10500 rpm range. Its V-Twin design retains the styling and character that has always defined the Buell riding experience.

do you have the...

dimensions ie: height, width, length. If they are similar to the 990 in the spyder it should be doable without a lot of hassle. You would probably have to make some custom motor mounts to secure it. With the increased power you may find it is also necessary to increase the strength of the frame mount area. There would be some items to adjust when mounting but given time and patience you would probably have a good time doing it. /Ken

I helped SXONWHLS install the Evoluzione stuff (e.g., high compression pistons, modified camshafts, breather, fuel management, etc.) in his. Although a major job, it was done in the bike and didn't require any extensive refit of the motor, etc. It made a remarkable difference in the power although probably not the 39 HP difference between the Buell 1125 and the stock motor.

That would nice nice

That's why I'm going to hold out on getting a RT. I will not make that same  twice. Purchased a 2009 and six months later the RT rolls out. I guess you can't edit headers (That would be nice).

could and would this rotex engine fit the spyder i know anything can be done with $$$$ just wondering .... it's 1125 ccm with 146 hp just throwing it out there ....View attachment 6207

Oh, really?? Hmm...

edit:

Another thing I m curious about is if this 145 horse engine does fit, will the Spyders gearing fit with the powerband? Especially from a standstill. The Buell probably has a lower geared 1st gear to get it launched. The Spyder is geared very high.

My original statement: Although a major job, it was done in the bike and didn't require any extensive refit of the motor, etc.

Oh, really?? Hmm...

.

"...extensive refit of the motor..." = new motor mounts, cables, electronics, etc. Obviously, when one can see and touch the connecting rods it is a "major job".

if you change the factory pistons to the new light weight and higher compression and port the heads and change the front sprocket and exaust aswell as the cold air intake, we have seen huge gains with these easyer mods and everything still bolts back up and less buggs to work out, you should pick up about 35hp, but you will need a power commander to rewrite your fuel program and, all can be done for around 2000.00 or so depending on shop or you doing it yourself. just a thought
