• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Emergency brake light

I have a 2020 RT Limited with 10,000 miles on it. Yesterday the E brake light wouldn’t go out. Brake released, I locked it and unlocked it a few times and it was working fine, but the light wouldn’t go out. Rode it bout 30 miles home, never did go out. Anyone else ever had this problem ? What might be the problem? Is it ok to ride it like this ? Thanks

Don't know about specifics of 2020 but you should get to a dealership and get it corrected under warranty.

my 2019 RTL is doing the same thing today. did you ever get an answer?

See the pic in post #3 above - this post:

Was it this light?

Steady light on all the time = Low Brake Fluid - it really doesn't take much, often just a half a tea-spoon full. . They are very sensitive to low brake fluid....

Just an aside tho, for those who may not be aware - the PARK Brake on our Spyders is very definitely ONLY a Park Brake - there's no way it's an Emergency Brake, the computer won't let it apply at all if you're going too fast... I think it's limited to speeds below about 4mph, but it might be as much as 9mph :dontknow: . Whatever, it's a Park Brake that's only there to hold the Spyder still while it's PARKED, you really can't use it in an emergency to slow down like you'd use the (non-electric) Emergency Brake in your cage! :lecturef_smilie:

It takes 11V to activate the parking brake and it will not work above 6 mph; never tested the voltage but did at speed above 6 mph and the manual was correct.
