• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It has been brought to my attention that any person on my old email address is getting random spam messages from me. :dontknow: I am so very sorry if this has been happening to any of y'all. I have had that email address for over 15 years and as the company can't seem to stop it I finally just deleted it. If you send me anything to silygirl30@sbcglobal or receive anything from that address please just delete it as it is NOT me Once again I sincerely apologize for any issues this may have caused.

I had no idea that email address was doing that. I only keep it for work but, it's not worth the dang headache!

I have been out of commission quite a bit since thanksgiving. Lots of heart issues. So haven't gotten the risers on yet. It may have to wait till fall now. But, I would still like to have the info if you don't mind please

Too funny!! Thanks for the laugh :roflblack::roflblack: Because this is seriously upsetting me!! :gaah:

It's like the Flu, it comes around to everyone sooner or later, and people just deal with it.

AVG is the way to go. As good as any anti-virus, updates continually and it's FREE! Can't beat it!

Yep, it does get all of us sooner or later it seems. What's so frustrating is when you get an email from someone that tells you to stop and you didn't even know it was happening! :opps:

Now I just feel awful about it and hope it hasn't caused any problems for anyone.

The only thing I can do it post it and hope for the best.

There are bots floating around that will invisibly hijack an email address, and use it to send spam from your computer. Anti-virus programs don't seem to help. Happened to me a while back. Besat protection is to sign in every time you use your email program, and sign out when done. Some will sign off for you automatically if you do not check "remember me". Changing your password is a good first step to stopping the emails, too. It can be cured, but it is a pain.

Sadly, I tried all of those things and nothing worked. :sour: And you are right. The anti virus and spam catchers did not fix or find it.

Was it one person who was gettin them or multiple. One thing I would like to point out, is it is possible it wasn't you sending the spam at all. Some viruses, when sending spam, will randomly select a recipient from ones address book, and randomly select another entry from the address book and make it look like that person sent the message. Makes it harder to figure out which machine is actually infected like that. Might just be someone you know with a virus that has you in their address book,

Yes, I am pretty sure that is what it was. It sent weird spam out to everyone who was in my contact list. Unfortunately. NOONE told me they were getting them until yesterday. So, just to stop it from happening I deleted that account. This isn't the first time this has happened and nothing seems to stop it for long. Hopefully this does the trick

I meant it may have been sent from someone else who had you in their contact list. Virus just made it look like it was from you.

So the not work safe pictures that you sent me wasn't you ??? :roflblack::joke::roflblack:

I had not thought of that. And you may be absolutely right. But, just so I don't get anymore upset emails from anyone I think I will not use that address ever again. So if anyone gets an email that says its from me now can bite me!! :roflblack::roflblack: At least I know it's not my fault.
