• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elkas

Buying them from Cowtown will allow to to support two Spyderlovers vendors and sponsors instead of one...and Len at Cowtown is THE source for all your Spyder parts.

Regards,

John@Elka

I've been looking for an approximate price for the Stage 1 Elkas but I don't seem to find it anywhere. How much are they?

Elka's

I bought mine from Len at Cowtown. He was very very helpful and even asked me to call him if I had any issues with them in the future. I provided the info he needed to set them up for me and I love them. You can't go wrong with Elka's or Len at Cowtown.

Well, Cowtown it is. My rides on the big highways are a little shaky, need those shocks. Beaufort reminds me of when I was in Boot Camp

:agree: Just purchased stage 5 Elkas from Len at Cowtown, should have them next week.Last year we ordered the Elka for the rear,(big difference in the ride) can't say enough good things about Len and Cowtown...They will take care of you!!!!!

If you don't want to deal with Len you can ask for Sierra. Better looking than Len and the smile. :opps:

I just went through the pricing thing with both Elka in Montreal and Cowtown in Cuba. Rather than delaying my purchase until Spyderfest I figured I would save a few bucks by installing them myself by ordering directly from the Canadian manufacturer. That way I could enjoy the ride down to Spyderfest even more.:DTo make a long story short, it turns out that it will be less costly to purchase these shocks from Cowtown during their Spyderfest special. The order has been placed with Len and they have a set put aside with my name on it.

I'm the impatient kind of guy, so I want order mine now, don't know if I'll ever make it to Spyderfest

Len at Cowtown USA put our Elka Stage 1's on last Friday and even explained how to dial the shocks in 'on the fly' for various riding conditions. Based roughly on the combined weight of me and the wife, he adjusted them. I think he was dead on. When it's just me, it rides like it's on rails in the turns and wind gusts don't even affect it on the highway. With 'momma' on, it settles in for a smoother ride, although it's a very controlled ride. No paddling or walking like an old Town Car with worn shocks. I'm not sure what the price special is going to be during SpyderFest, but it's apparently cheaper and easier to have it done there than it is to do it yourself. Sounds like a great deal to me.

Does on the fly mean you can adjust it while you're moving.

I AM HAVING MINE PUT ON AT COWTOWN WHEN I GET TO THE SPYDERFEST SO MY RIDE BACK TO MICHIGAN SHOULD BE A BETTER RIDE.....:clap::clap:

Hey NorthStar, other than the "try them before you buy them" special on the Elkas, what kind of pricing special (if any) will Cowtown be offering during Spyderfest?

Does on the fly mean you can adjust it while you're moving.

Not the front ones while moving, Fonz. You can stop and turn a dial real quick and easy. 5 clicks up (right tighty, lefty loosey) and you'll tighten the fluid movement for a firmer ride or down 5 clicks for more fluid movement for a softer ride. So, by on the fly, I just mean that you can do it in a flash, but not while moving... unless you are really, really flexible and willing to take those kind of risks. :joke:
