• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Eletrical Fun

So recently I have had my 2011 Spyder RS not start for me (multiple times over the last month). When I turn the key, ( step on the brake) the bike goes through its standard cycle but then gives me a blank screen ( It stops where it should ask me to read the saftey notice, hit the mode button and then start), but it never gets to that level of initial start cycle. When I finally do get it started i.e. pushing on fuse box cover - jiggling wires underneath, when I ride it will then go into limp mode, giving me check engine, DPS, VSS, limp mode etc... all the good stuff. I happens almost every day now. Today, I reset the relays in the fuse box (Frunk). I'm thinking either bad Main relays R1 or R3, loose wire connection on back of fuse box (Frunk). Possible weak battery - I replaced the motobattt battery about 1.5 years ago - Yet I do live in the desert southwest. I'm going to pull off the left side Corbin bag to take a look at the battery connections and frame ground connections.

Does anyone have the main relay part numbers for Relay 1 and Relay 2 and is there anything else I can try on my own. Unfortunalty when I check for codes the bike doesn't provide me anything. I driving home tonight and there is nothing more fun than driving in the HOV lane on a major interstate (I-10) when the bike goes into limp mode, or shutting off and I'm on the side of the freeway at rush hour trying to restart the bike - oy vey!!!

Regards,

Bob Lambert
