• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for info on replacement connectors like the factory ones. Someone posted a while back about a company that sells the connectors for the CamAm Spyder's but can't find it.

Thanks.

Which kind? There are 3 different types used on a Spyder.

Thats them.

Thanks
I ordered mine from Newark.com, but they were all just the bits and pieces to assemble the connectors. Look for AMP/TE Connectivity Superseal series 1.5. That's the usual trade nomenclature for them, I think. You have to be careful to get all the right parts and pieces. I don't have, and did not want to buy, a crimping tool so I used a small needle nose pliers to crimp the terminals to the wires and then soldered them. Have to be careful not to get too much or the terminals won't fit into the housings. If you decide to go this way PM me and I'll send you info on the connectors and how they are assembled. The advantage of going this way is you can make up exactly what you want/need for harnesses.

If you want to go the easier route look for connectors with pigtails. Electrical Depot may have them. I don't know. You can often find them on eBay but you may have to use your imagination to get the right words for a search to find them.

I see the Amazon link gets you a lot of options also.

I agree about the pigtail route. It has been a PIA on several occasions making a good solder joint without too much solder which effects how well the pins seat in the connector. Can't see running out of what I have on hand but if I do....
