Electric connector problem

I managed to pull the wires out of this connector...dang!
1. Can this be reused? If so, how do I release the sliding red mechanism to reinstall the wires?
2. If not, can these be obtained in an auto parts store?
3. If not there, where should I order them?

Their may be other places, but this is what I found. The main thing to note is that they are called Weather Pack connectors.

they push in and lock into the connector. If not you bent or broke off the lock tabs on the pins . also may have damaged the connector..Hard to tell from one picture

Tricky...

The ends have a tiny leaf spring that locks them in place. If they were yanked out more than likely those have been broken or bent back and not usable. I get them from Beaver electric I believe but Ebay has them as do many others....:thumbup:

As Gene says the connectors could be damaged. If so there are various places you can buy just a few connectors for replacements. The key is to search for AMP Superseal 1.5. The crimp tool to crimp the connectors ala factory method is quite pricey. What I did was carefully bend the connector's sides over the wire and then soldered the wire to the connector. You have to be careful not to overdue it as the fit inside the housing is tight. The connectors are not real rugged and it's fairly easy to damage them putting them all together. I've had to cut off and replace more than one on my projects because I mucked them up.

Another option is to buy a ready made pigtail and splice it on as a replacement, cutting the current connectors off of course.
