• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Eclipse anyone?

Getting late for this subject but just wondering if anyone will be traveling for the eclipse on August 21st? I'm hoping to either stay with friends in Portland, then ride south where totality will be, or if I can scrounge accommodations head to Salem.

I've heard a little about the eclipse but have no clue where the best places to view it are. We will be returning from Spyder Fever in Council Bluffs, IA on the 21st and will likely be in the middle of nowhere so maybe we will have a good, dark spot for viewing.

Search for Total Eclipse for 2017 and a map will come up to show the path. The Missouri and Illinois will have good viewing. Not sure how much of Iowa will, but remember don't look at it directly.

Enjoy. I will be.

I will be headed up to the NC mountains on 8/19 and staying until 8/22. We plan on either viewing it in Bryson City or Highlands, NC. Both of those places will have a total eclipse. I always loved the mountains, and this is the perfect place to see it.

You want to be in the area of totality to get a total eclipse experience. Just google the path of total eclipse and you can see the path through your part of the country.
