• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

EBC Rotors

Baja,
You can count me in on pads too if others come back with good reviews. My Spyder is all torn down right now getting the powder coat treatment and was getting my list of things to do and one was new pads! Cant stand the squealing anymore.

I've done track days on my Spyder, no brake problems of any type:dontknow:. In fact...still not a single problem on this machine, so much different than PE2150.

Typically, the harder you are on the brakes, the less noise you get from them. But you have to ride hard to be hard on the brakes and that's just not the way everyone rides.

Even hard riders can't always ride hard.

My hope for these EBC pads is better braking with less (or no) noise. I am confident that these pads will stop better, but the jury on noise is still out.

Just sayin'...no brake fade or warps. Ancient history now, she's a detuned commuter. Proven herself well past that '08 nightmare and become primary vehicle. Jeeps gone and Buell tooks it's place. Spyder rain or shine...snow flurries, too.

They are definitly quiet - So far!

I have about 500 miles on a set of the rear pads and they are very quiet. Before I replaced the rear pads reverse was not so quiet now no noise at all.

CRC DISC BRAKE QUIET

I T W O R K S !!!:banghead::banghead::banghead: When i need pads i will get them from ron, untill then, C R C D I S C BRAKE Q U I E T, IT WORKS!

Great!~ You got these babies on! I know it's a bit early but I'm very interested in how they work!

Are the front and rear EBC rotors the same ?

Got the package :yes::yes::yes::

Looking at these photos the three rotors seem to be very similar to me.The pads are different but what about the rotors ?
I will need to check my rotors because one of them appears to be warped. Any tricks to quickly find out which one is faulty ? (I suspect the rear one since I dont feel it on my grips)

I must do this as soon as I get the beast out of its den (storage)

The rotors are similar but they are not the same. You can't swap or interchange them.

I know, these testers are not doing a very well of testing these !!!! :gaah::roflblack:

True, but testers can get cranky and we don't want to upset them! Hopefully Doc, our component death testing service, will have something to say soon.

Ron, I would definitely like to try a set of front pads to start and see how they do. Please let me know when some are available. And by the way, I never got to compliment you on those incredible spark plug wires and plugs. Phantom 14 loves them! Just got through with a major maintenance cycle and while going through everything I noticed that I could use a set of front pads. I have never been overly impressed with the braking on the Spyder, but it is adequate. Hopefully the replacement pads will help. Thanks Buddy! :thumbup:

I've got pads and rotors sitting on the shelf. Just haven't had time to say much about them. I'm putting a set on my Spyder (as soon as I get time).

You don't need to replace the rotors with the pads though the rotors are supposed to give you 18% more stopping power than the stock version. I can't verify that because no one has tried this yet (except for Doc and he hasn't got his Spyder running yet).

Front Pads - $46.50 (You need 2 sets)
Rear Pads - $35.95

Front Rotors - $143.95 (You need 2)
Rear Rotor - $143.95

Includes shipping at this time.
