• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Easyrider Biker Rodeo... Musings of a Milquetoast

The Easyrider Biker Rodeo is going on at the fairgrounds near my hometown of Chillicothe Ohio. It lasts through Labor Day. The town is awash in all sizes and shapes of "bikers". I put that in quotation marks because I am amused by the various Biker types. There are the average Joes who are out to let off some steam and party for the weekend. Then its back to the blue collar workweek. There are the affluent pseudo bikers who trailer in their low mileage Ultra Classics in their toy hauler fifty foot Fleetwood RVs. There are the wannabes who want to look bad and end up looking like fools. There are the hard cores. You know who they are and leave them alone. There are the tattooed and the pierced of all flavors. There are the leather be-clad biker babes. Some are definitely eye candy. Some should never, ever flash someone.

I stopped at the local IHOP for breakfast. I struck up a conversation with a couple of fellows. I asked them if there were any Spyders coming in. They said there were a good number showing up. My wife is flabbergasted that I go up and start a conversation with these "biker folk". I tell her not to worry. Most of them are good people actually. If I see they don't want to talk to me I just disengage and walk away.

You're going to have to post some pics of this event... grab the camera and get out there! :2thumbs:

I was there last year wont make it this year and I'm not sure some of the picture would make it as this is a family type operation. You really need to go to experience the full flavor of the event, but Old Dog has it pretty well summed up.

Ride and ride safe,

Ride and ride safe,

I used to be a telephone company engineer. The telephone techs would come up with excuses to go to the fairgrounds to check the payphone trailer in the " no holds barred zone" if you catch my drift. You had to have a pass to get in there. Among other things they have bands, bar stool races, motorcycle pulls etc., typical biker rally stuff.

Easyrider rodeo reprise

My wife and I drove by the fairgrounds on the way home tonight. From the main road all you can see are cornfields.
Then we saw the light board sign at the entrance and cracked up.

No below the waist nudity allowed... :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Eye poppers

Bob you would see things at the rodeo that would make you want to gouge your eyes out and then there are..................................Rodeo is divided into two sections , one that is public and mostly tame and then you pay your dues and go to the other side where it becomes the wild west .It has gotten tamer over the years , used to be they'd throw a chain around someones goldwing and drag it around , even had separate areas for " non bikers " to more or less safely park their rides. Haven't gone for the last couple of years but don't think I'd take my spyder , might have to try and whup some drunk dude that insists on riding it......LOL

If'n you're still curious , just do a search for "chillicothe-rodeo" , your discretion.

Gotta say..!!

Should be a fun filled weekend. Lots to see but like Bob said pictures would better tell the story. Hope your town survives...!! :roflblack:

Greetings, John!. Your assessment is correct and funny. :yikes::doorag:

Question:
Why on earth would you drive by there with your better half with you? You'll just never get the best pictures with the censors on board! :yikes:
