• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

e-SPYD3R

It's sexy and fast...
But is it practical?
Are there special charging equipment and protocals, that must be used? :dontknow:
How long does it take to fully charge? (180 miles range doesn't get you too far from home...)

We need to find out if it's even on BRP's radar first... :D
No doubt; the Spyder Chassis would yield lots of room for battery storage!

No way..!!

electric spyders....sad day if and when it comes to pass. Will hang on to mine till there are no more gas stations....:roflblack:

I wrote about the Zero bikes the other day, and suggested that the RS could easily distinguish itself from its stablemates by going electric. Range is far less of a concern for the RS-- while many of us tour on our RS bikes, BRP most certainly would love to promote the ST and RT as the "touring" Spyders, and the RS as the "sport" Spyder.

100+ miles is plenty of range for a fun local ride, particularly if BRP adopted the "quick charge" tech pioneered by Tesla-- say, 100 miles to lunch, plug in to top off while you eat and relax, 100 miles back. That's a fun day in my book given the other benefits of an electric bike.

I mean, the torque abilities of the an electric bike are insane, to say the least, it'd make the 1330 look like a tree sloth. And who here wouldn't love a Spyder that sounds like a Tron light cycle:

That? That sounds like THE FUTURE. A 21st century sound for a 21st century vehicle
