• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dutchess Rec - several thumbs down

We bought our RT-S from Dutchess Rec about a month ago. When we took delivery, we noticed that the right front panel had a chip in it. Not a big deal but when you're paying that kinda scratch for a new toy, you want it perfect, right? They were cool, they took a pic and said they would take care of it. A few days later they said the part was in so we set up an service appointment for July 29. Brought it in the night before. No call on the 29th, I called this AM and they said it would be done by the end of the day. No call by 6:00 so I called back only to be told that they had the wrong part and that the new part would be in next week. The guy tried to explain how easy it is to confuse the parts. Really????

Bottom line is that DR gets no vote of confidence from me.

 I'm sorry to hear that this is cutting into your riding time...
But since they don't have the luxury of being able to defend themselves in here; please give them the benefit of the doubt, and see how they do, once they have the right part!
Good luck; we'll be waiting to hear how this all works out!

Bummer..!!

but you should be able to pick it up and bring it back when they have the part. Not good that they are not the ones letting you know and you have to be after them but parts have to many people involved to ever go right..I know...unless it is a part needed after inspection I get my own...

I purposly did not shop for my Spyder there due to a service issue with a couple 4 wheeler there a while back, I ended up fixing the problem myself.

How long has the dealer had it, and when do they say you will have it back? The BRP parts stream is notoriously slow, it may not be the dealer's fault. As Bob said give them a chance. You can always read them the riot act later, if necessary.

I don't think that I would leave my Spyder there for a week for a chip in the paint. That's too much lost riding time!

Worst case scenario: how far are you from Rosendale, NY?
Arctic Adventures is located there, and they have a good reputation.

:agree:That the parts stream can be slow flowing. I had one panel replaced and it came in two days. I ordered my parts a week ago to repair damage from getting rear ended and they are still on the way. Good thing for me is my :ani29: is driveable and is at my house. You may want to go pick your :ani29: up and have them call (or you call them in a couple weeks) when the part comes in.
