• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dumb queation about the comfort seat.

It seems this seat has had three different part numbers. I know BRP likes to change part numbers, they do it all the time with their snowmobile parts (drives me nuts).

The question is... has the seat changed, had any improvements, or is it the same seat no matter what the number? I ask this because I just bought one and it does not have the newer part number. The material has a texture to it and I thought the seats I saw on other Spyders the leather, or vinyl, or whatever, was smooth. Am I wrong?

Is your comfort seat smooth or a little rough?

I just bought my comfort seat for an RS four weeks ago, don't know the part number but the sear does have smooth sections and several sort of grippy sections. It is indeed very comfortable and I find that I don't slip around so much with a very secure seating position.

I bought my comfort seat last winter but don't have the # with me right now. It is smooth except for the two side panels up front for gripping your legs and a little section at the back of the drivers seat. Here it has a dimpple texture to it. Good choice :2thumbs: over the stock seat. I did 500 miles yeasterday riding two up without and complaints or pain .
