• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

yesterday I got on my Spyder pretty hard and tacked it up to 10 grand and hit 2nd gear I noticed dps was going across the front of me on the gauge what is this and I shout it off for about 5 to 10 mins. what is going on?::gaah:

Usually, the Check DPS scroll means you have a Dynamic Power Steering issue, or at least the sensor is reporting something wrong.

Some people have had this happen when they first start their Spyder in very cold weather. It happened to my wife's Spyder yesterday when she started it and it was not cold outside. The Check DPS message scrolled and the VSS light was on while the Spyder was idling. I had her shut it off and let it sit for a few minutes, started it back up and no problems as well.

There is a chance this is caused by a weak battery, but I cannot be certain of that either.

Others have had fuses wiggle loose and cause this to happen. You should probably open the fuse box and give all of your fuses a push to make sure they are properly seated.

Here is the most important thing. If you are having any steering issues at all, locking, not wanting to turn, turning by itself, or anything out of the ordinary like that, get the Spyder to your dealer as soon as possible. There are several people that have reported steering issues on this forum, and hopefully you are not going to be one of them.

My wife and I have had no problems with the steering on our 2009 SE5 models whatsoever, and are quite thankful for that.
