• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DPS then into LIMP Mode

Got 60 miles into a 250 mile ride when it flashed something about DPS then went into limp mode. Decided to turn around. Got a call, turned off the Spyder returned the call, when I restarted it it ran great for the last 20 miles. Big disappointment. This it the first time I've had this problem, 21,000 miles.

Got home yesterday and went on a 30+ mile ryde without a problem. Question, should I be concerned? I was damn sure upset Thursday, I was heading for my Grand-daughter's HS Graduation.

Best guess is that you were accidentally riding the brake pedal without applying brake pressure. You have to keep your foot off the brake except when using it. Your dealer can confirm, using BUDS. There are other possible causes, including slightly mismatched steering sensors and a long sweeping turn. The DPS warning may just be an artifact, if the VSS is not acting normally for another reason, hence the link to riding the brake.

Riding the brake is a possibility. I caught my new trainee doing it on Saturday. Lucky I was riding behind and able to call attention to it.

Thanks guys. I don't think I was riding the brake but it happened in a curve, not a huge one. Unable to get to the dealer today, niece and family coming in from Ohio for a visit. Got to takle care of them. Maybe tomorrow, I'll get wet but what the hell, won't melt.

I had mine kick on once during a really rough section of under construction road work. Never again since though. If road conditions were bumpy, it might have confused the sensors.
