• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DPS replacement

I've been avoiding this but I guess it is time. I will be taking the Spyder in for the DPS tomorrow. I'll take the long way home and see how it responds.

they have 'em in east tennessee!

I am taking my Spyder in on Friday for new front tires, and asked the dealer if he could get a DPS unit for my machine to replace at the same time. He called his service rep and was told no, even though he told them about other dealers having more than 1 new one on hand at a time. :dontknow:

I may place a call to Carlo tomorrow to see if they can possibly force feed him a new unit for me. It is 2 hours one way to get there, and while I love ryding my Spyder I really don't want to have to make multiple trips for things to be done to it.

ok, I have to say I am impressed. I took a couple different rides on the way home from the dealer today. One rather straight on a real rough road and the other on some medium twisties. I have to say the Spyder seems to require a lighter touch now. This weekend I will make a run out to Lake Berryessa and see how she really responds now. At this point I am pretty happy with the new DPS.

I have both of mine done and it's a huge difference. It actually feels like the bike had standard steering before. There no effort to steer at all. I ride one handed a lot and the curves are super easy now.
