• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. DPS Recall

Questions

:2thumbs:Talk about a GREAT service Department. I got a call from my local dealer to bring my Spyder in Friday as he was getting replacement DPS units in. I haven't even received my letter from Can Am yet. And this from a dealer I didn't even purchase my Spyder from. A big round of applause for Bradford Marine Sherwood Arkansas.

I got an email from my dealer today telling me he's ordering my new DPS and when it comes in he'll let me know :2thumbs:. He asked me if I got my letter which I said no but when I got home from work it was there.

Letter came Monday!

Called the Dealer today and the unit is ordered, install scheduled for the 24th. I am having my trailer hitch installed at the same time. I bet it won't be finished in one day. The last time my 3 hr recall took 6 hours and ran into the second day.

Chikez.

Find another dealer. They are being paid 1.7 hrs for the recall installations so anything more than a couple of hours would make me nervous.

The letter arrived this morning and I called my dealer. He said they were shipped 3 so he told me to bring it in Friday morning for replacement. Hurray!! Hope this one is painless.. last time was a pain in the yoohoo :gaah: maybe this is the final fix for the whole dps saga. I hope so :)

I got my letter today. I talked to my dealer last week and he has 3 units in. He has set one aside with my name on it. Unfortunately his Spyder Tech is on vacation until Tuesday 9-22-10.

I got my letter last night. Have a appointment for next Friday. Said they only had 4 units. They have to send the old ones back before they will send them a new one. Whats with that?:dontknow:

BRP is trying to keep from running into major supply issues with getting the new DPS units out. Each dealer will be shipped a certain number of new units in advance, many already have them. Once they replace one, they send the old unit back to BRP and then get another one. It is my understanding BRP is paying for overnight shipping on these to try to get them to the dealers as quickly as possible as well. In the long run this should work out a whole lot better than 1 dealer ordering 200 new units and others not being able to get any.

Hey Spyderwolf,
Who are you using for dealer work? I have been taking mine to the folks in Columbia, SC. They have been doing a good job, compared to the so-called dealer in Augusta.(they couldn't fix a little red wagon)

Got mine done today. One hour and 45 minutes after I signed the work order it was done. There is a definite difference for my new unit. All for the good.

My DPS is installed... What a great difference.
For those who have them installed and for those pending, I would like to caution all for the sensistivity of the steering above 60MHR, It took me about 50 miles to relearn the feel for spyder steering. However, I will watch it tomorrow and Friday to ensure I have been retrained.

DPS Box

:clap:Took my 2010 RTS in yesterday for a squealing rear break problem. Went to pick it up today and they fixed the break problem and also replaced the DPS box and two other service bulletin's that I did not even know about. I received the recall notice from BRP after I picked up the bike. I use Walt's Motor Sports in Lake Havasu City, AZ. and they are great.

:agree: 100%. The response is a lot better...more like a car instead of how the old Spyder DPS was. It's just more better...can't describe it better. It also took me about 50 miles on the Interstate to adjust to the feel. So my suggestion...don't go right out the shop and do the twisties!

My spyder is being done tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

Bradford Marine is truly a top-notch dealership, and the Service Department is second to none !!

great
i am still wait fore letter

I got my letter today and called my dealer for an appontment.
The Service Manager let me know that all the parts in stock have been spoken for and replacements won't be available until she sends in the old parts (like we've been saying here). She will contact me to replace the DPS as soon as she gets new units in. I won't be around here until after the SITS so..... They will do it, while I wait, when I get back. I can't complain about that service, can I?
