• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DPS oil leak?

while installing my bajaron sway bar I noticed oil on the frame upon further investigation I found it is coming form from the bottom of the DPS output shaft and leaking onto the pitman arm and then to the frame it is not a constant drip more of a small seep enough to make a mess under the :spyder2: but nothing on the garage floor yet.

I was a bit puzzled by it, I will schedule my 600 Mile service on Monday i'll just add that to my list of things to have them check. I am happy as heck with the :spyder2: so glad I finally made the decision to buy it.

i would venture to say its oil from the air box slowly working down when the engine get up to temp. It will eventually leak on the ground but with all the plastic underneath it may take a while. I had this happen on my old RS. I took panels off checked air filter/ box then got engine degreaser sprayed all over & took to car wash. Just my 2 cents worth fwiw.

I tend to agree...most likely source.I

Have to agree..!!

have seen most airbox leaks coming off the forward section of the box. This would make it leak above the dps unit or pretty close. We used to use arid extra dry which dries to a white powder and made oil leaks very visible..make sure you check your oil level now and after your service to make sure it is not over filled..!!

thanks for your input on the issue its great to have all of the knowledge on this forum to quickly troubleshoot items like this
