There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Has Anyone else got a Rear shock oil leak?

I've noticed an oil leak near the rear shock area on my 24' RTL. There's oil leaking on the cat converter, then onto floor. Anyone else seen this?

When you look through the spring, do you see oil at the base of the shock body where the rod goes into the seal? If so, then that shock is blown! And it should be under warranty, seeing that it's a '24! :dontknow:

The bottom has no piston, just the mount. It has the auto air ride, so maybe it's a compressor issue??

You need to look near the top attachment point to see the piston seal as Mikey suggested. The oil will leak down along the body and spring until it drips onto the catalytic converter. Based on the amount of dust on the spring, it looks like an oil leak from a bad seal. Take it to the dealer for a warranty repair. The air ride is for levelling the rear of the bike using a compressor and an air bag, and it has no oil.

Does the shock even have oil? I think it's an air shock with the auto air ride???

If you go to canam parts and look up your make and model, it will show you a diagram with all the parts for the rear suspension, including the shock, Part # 706001552.

The shock is a standard hydraulic shock with no air lines going to it; and the air ride is controlled by the air compressor and its components inflating the air bag to the correct height, Part # 706001552.

I don't have access to look at your make and model other than the parts diagram I referenced. JMO

You have both and they are separate units not together, and as said above the air ride is just that, no oil in it just air. Again, if you have a '24 it should be covered under warranty!!

That looks like you rode thru someone else's transmission fluid remnants shortly after their trans spat it all out on the roadway!

:agree:After looking at the last pictures you may want to wash your underneath down with some degreaser and water and then keep an eye on it!

+1. The conundrum is whether to clean the bike now to see if it comes back or to wait and let the dealer see it as is.....

(I see that was already suggested)
