There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Downside/upside of 2016/2017 F3T or L

I own a 2015 F3S semi auto that I am pretty happy with and it runs excellent. BUT, the one up
rear shock, cracking frames and lack of storage for a trip has got me to thinking about
upgrading. So, what does the the F3T or F3L's have that would make for a great advantage
over what I own now? Keep in mind that I generally get out on a couple of long trips twice a year.

All you experienced and knowledgeable people feel free to jump in here.
Thanks in advance!

I test rode a 1026 F3 Ltd at Spyderfest and was impressed. If you travel light the saddlebags sould accommodate you. If you haul lots of :cus:, not so good, IMO. No where near the capacity on an RT.

I have both a 13 RTS and a 15 f3s. Two different animals entirely. The f3 is a BLAST to ride/rip. PITA though not having ANY real space to put schtuff.

Well I have given some thought to it as well. But I have spent a lot on upgrades to make my F3S more enjoyable. I installed Elka shocks in front and rear to improve the rough ride.
I put on the RT swaybar to gain more stability while riding hard in the twisties.
I put on the blue ridge windshield and the smooth Spyder backrest for more comfort.
Last but not least I installed the Shad saddlebags for added storage, each bag will hold a full face 2xl helmet. I have over 16,000 miles and ride often.

So I feel the big advantage of the T or L model would be the new design with windshield, radio and the better air shock for the rear. Now with added trunk and built in back rest, you can put two helmets in there as well.

I think I will wait another year then buy a left over 2017 F3L unless the 2018 model shows even more improvement.

If you haven't done the upgrades then I would consider the 2016 L model with back trunk.

Yes, but Dray is talking about a 2016/2017 F3 T or L, Bubba, and the 2017 Limited comes with nearly as much storage as the RT. It really comes down to ergonomics, slightly different performance characteristics and looks now.

I can give a 2nd vote for the Shad bags if you want more storage. I was thinking of a change to a T or L when they were announced but now I've added the Shads there's no need.

I personally prefer the look of the F3-S with the shad bags to the T or L. It looks more like a motorbike with touring panniers to me. The big rear end with the integrated bags on the T / L is less appealing to me, the rear wheel is too covered up.

I really like this look with the rear wheel still visible:
