• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Downshifting Issues

I have a 2018 Spyder F3-T, I might be crazy because I know very little about this but has anyone had any issues with downshifting when it get real cold outside. Every time I take my bike out when the temperature get real cold (30's and 40's) I have issues when downshifting especially when I try to go into Neutral or Reverse. When the temperature warms up, I never have this issue anymore.

Is it doing it at the start of your ride then go's away as your bike warms up? Could it be that you haven't let it warm up enough before you jump on it and ride it? I live in Maine and ride a fair time in the spring and fall at temps way lower than you said and don't recall having any issues like you!! Good Luck! P.S. How many miles have you on your oil, since your last change?

There is a known issue with the 2018's paddle shifter, service bulletin 2018-005. The fix is to replace the left hand control module.Spyder 2018 Service Bulletin 2018-05.jpg

I always let my bike warm up but it still does no matter what. I just changed my oil about 500 miles ago.

if YOU changed the oil, did you go thru proper procedure to change it? drain 2 drain plugs, and fill to proper level, then after verify after warm up ride?

Yes, I changed it correctly. It did it before and after I changed the oil. I am going to have them look at it with the Warranty Bulletin 2018-005. It is for my year and model.

I had a similar issue and my module was replaced. However, when I first spoke about this issue when my dealer he didn't know about it. I suggest you have it changed under warranty while you can.

Good luck

J

I never had that issue, only when cold, the cluch slips a little. How much oil did you put in when you changed the oil?
