• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Don't do this to your riding buddies

The other day several of us were on a ride and we all stopped for a cold one. The outside temp for the day was 105 and it was a scorcher. There was no shade to park in but once inside and out of the sun a cold drink was a welcome relief. Back outside and getting ready to go again, seats were almost hot enough to burn through your levis and hand grips were just about as hot. Two miles down the road my butt was adjusting to the temperature but my hands were still on fire. It took me about another mile or two to figure out that some joker had turned my heated hand grips onto the high setting. I wasn't the only victim of this nefarious trick so just remember, what goes around comes around.

Ouch..!!

And payback is a :cus:...:roflblack: he is going to be the one looking over his shoulder all the time....:spyder:

:lecturef_smilie: That's mean... But still an excellent joke! :roflblack:
And it's less of a hassle, than hitting a kill switch!

I have turned mine on by accident when hitting the parking brake switch
and on hot days you can really tell
they also take a while to cool down

Let Karma have its way. Messing with another persons bike is not a good thing. Just my opinion though.

Me, too. I couldn't figure out why my grips were so hot, even though it was in the high 90s. I pulled into some shade and rubbed some ice on the grips trying to cool them off, then realized the heaters were on.

Mentioning payback, I just dunno why anyone would think flicking the hand grip heaters on is so funny - sure, it's easy to do & it gets some pretty quick results; but those are exactly the same reasons it's fairly easy to UN-do & quick to get over??! :sour:

What about doing things in retaliation that took some thought & just kept on being funny for quite some time; things that would leave the afflicted person puzzling over how/why for ages??! Sure, you hafta think a little harder & maybe plan ahead to do things like stuffing used prawn heads into the exhaust pipe; or jamming them down in between the heat shields & the muffler or header pipes; but that way you'll get a laugh out of it every single time you ride past that particular bike & you get another whiff..... & the bike owner will get that every ride & is extremely unlikely to find the source of the rotten prawn smell that follows their bike everywhere; so that one just keeps on giving for ages!! :yikes:

I can think of others, anyone else??

I will remember to never piss you off. :roflblack:
