• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does Your Ryker Idle Seem "Rough"

Even when fully warmed up and at operating temp, mine ('21 900) seems to idle rough. According to the MFD, my RPM's when stopped are swinging from 800-950, and my handlebars are vibrating. I realize that the 2021 Operator's Guide specifies the idle speed as 850 +/- 50 RPM for the 900.

Do you believe I have a mechanical problem? Should I take it in for service?

My 2019 Rally model does the same thing. It is a function of the fore and aft rocking motion commensurate with a three-cylinder engine.

Thanks everyone. I made a video and as I was doing so it hit me that the tachometer is using an algorithm that displays in increments of 50 RPM, e.g., an actual RPM of 799 could display as 750. I also noted that a couple of times the RPM hit 750. That's the cooling fan cutting off at the very beginning of the clip.

Its a racehorse in the gate. That vibrating is just your Ryker chomping at the bit to get out and rip it up.

Stop worrying and ride!

Ya, both my Rykers idle like that. Sometimes when waiting at a red light, I find myself reaching my hand onto the handlebar grip to steady it so I can get a better non-vibratory glance out of the rearview mirror.
