• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does it ride like a quad?

I'm not surprised he was disappointed. A "trike" rides like a lumber-wagon compared to a Spyder, handling-wise. So, as many respondents have stated, describing it as like a quad is much more accurate than like a trike.

Then too, there is the much-enhanced safety advantage of the "reverse-trike" design, vs a "trike."
i describe riding our new spyder like riding a "potato wagon"--so rough and gawdawful--riding pillion--its fine when im driving

is a quad a 4 wheeler? riding bitch on a spyder is like riding a potato wagon--never had a rougher ride on anything lol---and i really hate to say it since i just spent almost 30 grand on this thing

Then don't ryde on the back. Get another one and you both can be dryvers!

Lesa, I know we talked about this in your other thread, but people have stated that the BajaRon bar really makes a difference for the passenger in terms of comfort.

I don't want you to be unhappy

My wife says she is so comfortable on the back she is afraid of going to sleep and slipping off. You must have something wrong. Only time she was uncomfortable is when the air bag was really low. ( I have a base RT, no electric pump)

i had had never ridden a quad before starting to research buying a Spyder. I was reading the Do's and Don't's thread about the handling of the Spyder. I had the opportunity to get on a friends quad and used the same principles of riding a Spyder to the quad, so I would say yes, a quad drives like a Spyder. :)

I've told people it steers "something like an ATV." That's mostly to let them know it doesn't lean and there's a bit of a learning curve from going from two wheels to a Spyder.

And yes, I have people stop and talk to me about it all the time. I've even had people pull up along side of me on the freeway to take pics from their cars. I almost always get a thumbs up.

On our ride back from RI we had someone pull alongside of us while driving at about 75 mph and they were video taping
us...needless to say that one didn't fly with us all too well and we..."disappeared" on them.

I've said the same thing too peeps before, "Like riding a STEET LEGAL Quad, Just a lot faster" I had a Bombardier DS 650 Quad reminds a lot of it.. D

 But those Big DS quads would "push" in the turns like a Buick riding on two flat tires...
The Spyders handle MUCH better!
