• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does IPOD in trunk connected to Audio Input draw power when bike is off?

Minnesota Spyder Storage

The coldest winter I ever spent
was that summer in Duluth.
:yikes:

MN native born and raised in Mpls.
Now living in Pittsburgh, PA.

Is the audio plug in the trunk on the same circuit with the dc outlet? I have changed my fuse to make the dc outlet hot all the time and I was wondering if that made the ipod hot all the time too. If it does and the ipod is plugged in, then it would be drawing off the battery. I didn't even think about that...does anyone know ?
No. The iPod gets its power from the radio. Key off, radio off, iPod off.

Dave, I always pull my batteries and charge them inside. If a battery gets low, it can freeze (in Minnesota they can) and then it is game over for it. Being I have several of them, it is just easier to pull them and keep an eye on them from an inside room.

Done, though the Spyder is in an above freezing heated winter storage. ( I gotta guy.....( he actually wanted to talk to me with out all the other storage customers so he could get on the Spyder and check it out, he likes....))
