• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

does everone have extended service

I have the BEST warranty on my 09 RS SE5. What kind of information are you looking for? And if I haven't/didn't welcome you to SL , considerate it done now. :welcome:

:welcome:

I did not purchase an extended warranty with any of my Spyders (3). It is a calculated risk though--as those needing repairs above and beyond normal would be advised to have extra coverage.

I also do not buy "gap coverage", "credit life" etc. on other contracts. My answer to them is "if I die--that's your problem--not mine".

My bottom line in thinking about Spyder was--if I end up with a mechanical nightmare, I will dump it and get something that I know will work. I have not had to entertain this scenario-- on any of my Spyders.

just wondering if i should get the best or not just wondering what would happen if i broke down somewhere who would i call and stuff like that and thanks for the welcome tofriendscreek i hope i meet more riders out there have a good one

We purchased the BEST for the wifes Spyder. For the cost of the coverage it would only take one or two repaires and it would pay for itself. With all of the computer stuff on the bike it was more of a piece of mind for me.

the problem with extended warrenty contracts is that at the time you will be most likely to need them they won't sell them to you that is year 5 thru 10 the factorys know just what the repair frequency is and they have pluged the numbers into the computer and made sure they don't lose any money
