• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does ECO mode actually change anything?

Does eco mode actually change the "power band", acceleration, or fuel delivery etc. OR does it just give you a green arrow designating when to shift? Have read conflicting info. On the forum.

It changes the amount of throttle range you have:

  • In normal you have 0-100% throttle opening across the twist (as you would expect)
  • In ECO you have 0-60% throttle opening across the twist.

So it restricts power by restricting max throttle opening. It doesn't alter anything else and is no more 'economical' than you using less throttle in normal mode. Hence most people consider it pointless.

Well....

It does change your greyhound into a bloodhound.....:roflblack: what I have not seen is if there is a significant savings by using it....:dontknow:

I faithfully used ECO mode for one tank of gas. I saved about one mpg. Found the green arrow telling when to shift to be a distraction. I no longer use it.

Could we have the electronic frunk release back? :roflblack::roflblack:

We now have an antidote available for ECO mode: it's called Sport Mode, and you can get it in some of the F3 models!:yes::yes:

No S mode on the wifes F3 T

No S mode on the wifes 2016 F3 T. If the 'burn rubber mode was what you were lookin for, the S mode was your choice. Sometimes the lower trim levels suit your needs better and then add your needed farkles to customize. Wife runs through enough tires :sour: without encouraging extra hooliganism.... YMMV

I did a full tank of gas with and without while keeping track of my MPG (gallons divided by trip meter). The ECO dumbs down the throttle and nothing more. I kept my bike performing the same in eco mode and by doing so my MPG was the same. If you want a less responsive throttle use ECO mode but expect nothing else in return.

Side note. My car has the same eco button and I tested it like I did the Spyder. Another useless virtue signaling piece of garbage by those wishing to "Go Green".

If you truly care about the environment....WALK!.....otherwise don't be a hypocrite.

I get about 1 MPG more in Eco mode on a stock 2015 F3S. It also keeps me out of trouble, so I leave it on 99% of the time. Personal preference.

Eco Mode? EW!

Nope, don't use it. I'm averaging 40mpg without ever using Eco Mode, and I'm kind of a hooligan, so it's possible to have fun and still get good mpgs.

I agree

...after spending my life savings to buy this thing lol... I really don't care about mpg:yes::yes:
