Time for more oil discussion....
These are 2 CASTROL motorcycle oils that both meet BRP specs (other than being 10w40) and are widely available at reasonable prices. They both omit the SM spec that is a problem for wet clutches. The Synthetic sells for $8.99 at Advance Auto and the blend sells for 5.99 at Cycle Gear. The Synthetic is also available in 5w40 but hard to find.
Castrol refuses to disclose what % synthetic the Actevo contains, and it is not clear how this compares to BRP's synthetic blend.
Wouldnt these be good for use in the Rotax? Could you even consider mixing them to get a little more synthetic in the blend ?
Sure look like better alternatives than paying $12.95 a qt at a dealer.
