• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know . . .

. . . where I can find insurance for my Spyder that will be used for both business and pleasure uses? Business use is the sticking point.
Geico - no
Progressive - no (even though I have 3 business vehicles with them already)
Foremost - no
Fischer- waiting for reply

Any thoughts?
Suggestions?

My Spyder will be ready for P\U on saturday and I don't want to ride without insurance.

Try Pacific Specialty Insurance Company (McGraw Group). They specialize in motorcycle insurance. Try getting a quote from them.

Insurance...

You should insure your vehicle whichever way it is registered...if your business bought it, it should be covered under your business....if personal, then personal...more likely your registered it personally...

You can write-off your mileage and part of your insurance cost whichever way you go...

However, to get insurance for both personal/business is usually not necessary...

Just remember that if you get the business to pay for it and you have a lot of joy-riding, you might get in trouble...then again, the business shields you if you have a problem on the road...but who are we kidding?? If anyone gets hurt on a bike, it's usually the rider...you likely aren't going to sue yourself! Therefore, it might be best for you to personally insure the bike and write off the business mileage...this allows you to use it for business and you don't have to worry about the liability issues...yet, you still get the write-off for work. Check with your accountant and state laws, but you can likely write-off part of the insurance anyway...based upon percentage of mileage used for business purposes...this goes along with maintenance as well...

Just some things to think about...
