• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know the internal bore size of the OE brake rod?

Hi,
I am Andrew from the UK and have a 2021 F3-S which I bought new. I have very recently purchased an MTV handlebar brake conversion kit as I have disabilities.
I have a background as a motorcycle mechanic so I feel I am competent to fit it. My footrest is on position 5, to fit the brake pedal hydraulic actuator you have to move the footrest to position 4 or grind the locating peg off the footrest/Brake pedal bracket and move it to position "4½" as the actuator fouls the frame in position 5.
Doing this is going to alter the brake rod/brake pedal position. I am going to convert my brake rod to a adjustable rod by tapping out the internal hole of the tubing and fitting a left hand/right hand adjuster so that it can be adjusted in situ.
Does anyone know the internal bore size of the OE brake rod? Also am I correct in saying that each footrest position from 1 - 5 is approximately 25mm (1") apart?

Many Thanks, Andrew (UK).

Slingmods has an adjustable rod for position 4 and 5 available to purchase.

Years ago when the F3 first came out and there were no adjustable or revised brake rods available, I attempted to do the exact mode you are contemplating. Do not remember the ID for the rod but what I do remember is that its NOT mild steel, was a rough interior finish, not smooth tubing and its also very hard and brittle. I had zero success attempting to tap threads into it for an adjuster. Broke several taps trying and the threads I did cut just shattered as I went.
