• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dodge, returning to NASCAR???

And why not? They were competitive, both recently and way back, and as the old saying goes, "If it wins on Sunday, it sells on Monday". That's from when I was young & cars could not be sold on Sunday.

After the way they bailed out last time it will be interesting to see who they can get to partner with them. When the going got tough Dodge got gone.

Hi Sam Mac,

Re: Dodge got gone.

I am just waiting for FCA to go away. Fiat is losing money on them ( nothing new, been years since they made any money ) and there will come the time IMO when the 'powers that be' decide to call it quits.

They just announced the end of the Chrysler 200; probably more to follow.

YMMV,

I hope Dodge does reenter NASCAR... it would be good for the sport of auto racing... I am not a fan of Dodge/Chrysler as far as owning their vehicles ... but can see it may increase sales for Dodge/Chrysler..

I was just looking at www.nascar.com this morning, and there was no mention of it yet... :dontknow:
But I do hope that they return!

And if I remember correctly, those versions were so fast in comparison to the other offerings that they were quickly disqualified from the NASCAR races.

I would like to see the re-entry of Dodge again. It will work out in the end by seeing how many competitors choose the new rides.

I sure enjoyed my plymouth! As you can see, it loved gas. When I first got the engine built, I was getting a whopping 6 mpg. But after breaking it in, I was able to expand that to around 9.

What was under that hood???
Built 440 (1969 model, when they had the better cranks) with forged internals, Demon 850, aluminum high flow heads, 1 3/4" headers connected to 3 1/2" exhaust. This thing was a combo of show and go. Looked like a show car, but would run, mid 11's on street tires. Compression was kept at a low 10.5 to 1, so I could use pump gas. Everything was replaced from fuel lines to every bushing, etc.
