• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

On TV now nationwide. A Place At The Table. This is a real eyeopener about our own people in this country who don't have enough to eat.

Along those same lines...

It was hard for me to accept the fact of so many homeless and hungry VETS that are right here in the city of Virginia Beach. In the "not so distant" past, I volunteered at one of the local Missions, served meals at one of our Outreach Kitchens, and did a few hours for one of our Food Banks. It literally blew my mind to actually see the amount of service veterans we have in our local area. If any of you know of the Hampton Roads area, you will know that this is the United States' largest concentration of Military presence, both active duty and retired. To see former service members (usually discharged for one reason or another) sleeping under bridge trestles, living in tent cities, struggling...it is an eye opener. Hunger is another issue. We, as a nation, find ourselves feeding nations far removed from our front doorsteps. But we haven't the time to address and invest in our own. I'm doing my part. Is it enough? No. But it's a start.

This "movie" was a real eye opener. These are real people with real problems. It bugs me to no end seeing all of the monetary aide sent to other countries who then turn and spit in our face. The 3.9 billion dollars the "president" is sending to the border could go a long way in helping our own needy population.
