There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Do you use Ear Plugs ?

With 40% hearing loss, all I hear is the roar of the engine.... even when I'm not on it. I HAVE learned not to listen to the voices though.
All kidding aside, I wear a full face helmet which cuts down on a lot of the noise with the visor down. I have to turn the radio up about 3/4 to hear it.
If I were not wearing a helmet, I would probably wear plugs.

Just got my Ear Fuse earphones. They are 'curing' in my ears right now. Pretty strange feeling... I can 'hear' them 'growing' and becoming more solid in my ears.... freaks me out a little.

The sound quality is MUCH better than I anticipated... they really sound good.

They give you too much goop for the average ear... so you'll be pulling some extra off (while it's still gooey).

I might re-do the first ear as the second looks much better.

One minor complaint---- they don't mark the ear buds for Left and Right... so I had to plug in to my computer and change the balance to figure out which is which. Might not matter to some.... but it does to me.

So far I'm liking these !

:congrats:

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part of the process. I did the same thing to figure out which was which before mixing the goo.

I have the same thing. It's so loud I feel like others should be able to hear my ears ringing. nojoke
Mines not that bad, but I can tell you this much, nearly 20 yrs around screaming jet engines haven't done my ears any favors. I double protected around the F-16 (ear plugs and mickey mouse ears) and still think they did the most damage.

So I definitely wear earplugs while riding. I had to go to a local audiologist for fitted ones ($75) and when he looked in my ears he first asked if I had ever had ear surgery and when I said no he said that my ear canals were the biggest he had ever seen.:yikes: No wonder I couldn't ever get most kinds of mass produced earplugs to work.

I use the yellow E.A.R. foam plugs for riding and mowing the lawn. They work great for me and are very inexpensive. You don't need to spend $10.00 dollars or more to get a good ear plug.

I cannot find those anymore. The only thing out there now are the cheap :cus: white foam ones that can only be used once. Those yellow ones were good for weeks. The AF started to get them just before I got out and then the companies at all the maintenance contracts did too, but here lately I haven't seen those anywhere. Anything else doesn't fit.

I just do what the voices in my wife's head tell me to do.:shemademe_smilie:

Don't you mean that you do what the voices in your wife's head tell her to tell you to do? Or can you actually hear what is going on in your wife's head?

You can get a box of like 100 orange pairs for $4.00 at Harbor freight.

About the only decent thing they sell there.....nojoke

Do You Use Earplugs

Absolutely! I have a profound high frequency hearing loss courtesy of Uncle Sam's Navy and many years around jet engines and aboard aircraft carriers. I have to wear dual hearing aids, but can not wear them under a helmet when riding. I always use foam ear plugs to help prevent (as much as possible) any further hearing loss. Wind noise on a motorcycle is a big contributor to hearing loss, and anything I can do to cut down noise, I do.
The soft foam earplugs block excess noise, but still allow traffic noise, warning horns, sirens, etc. to be heard, and at the end of a ride, I am not quite as tired as I would be if I had to contend with the road and wind noise on top of concentrating on keeping old "Spydie" (red 2008 SE5) in the road and away from all the crazies out there who like to tailgate and play "let's cut the guy on the bike off."
