Do you have to pay for shipping a NAPA Oil Test, or is it Pre-paid?

Bought an Oil Testing Kit from NAPA, I took the sample while I changed the Oil today and followed the instructions for taking the sample but they left one key question I had out.

Do you have to pay for shipping or is it a prepaid container that you ship the sample in? It doesn't state it anywhere in the instructions or on the container with the address.

You do have to pay shipping, USPS or what ever other shipping activity you choose to use. The price you paid Napa included the kit and the analysis. Just in case the shipping activity asks, the oil sample is not hazardous material.

I was told back in February that Napa no longer does oil analysis. So, I went with Amsoil analysis.

That's funny, they took my money to buy the test kit about 6 weeks ago in mid Feb.

Napa did not do the analysis. An ALS Tribology lab in Norcross, GA has done mine for years and still does them for Napa/Wix. The kit comes with multiple shipping address labels so you can ship to the closest lab. A year or two ago, I sent a sample to Norcross and didn't hear from the lab for almost two weeks, so I called the lab and was told they had a bunch of samples awaiting analysis but they were not being done, because somewhere in the corporate bowels, the lab had not been paid for previous analyses. I got to the local Napa zone rep, explained what the lab had told me and she got the problem fixed - fast.
